G'day, gamers! Word on the street is Hytale's rolling out some ripper changes with Update 3, and the pre-release patches are droppin' like flies. We're talkin' tameable critters, sickles for harvestin' like a pro, and a UI makeover. Let's dive into the nitty-gritty!
Headline Features
- Taming System: You can now tame some of the friendlier animals by giving them their favourite food. Tamed animals can be petted, milked, sheared, or even mounted! They also won't run away unless you give them a whack.
- Sickles: Mass crop harvesting is now a thing!
- Climbing Updates: Sidestepping, dropping, and rotating around ropes are now possible.
- Anchor UI System: Server plugins can now add UI elements to client pages.
- Language Options: Brazilian-Portuguese and Russian are the first new in-game language options.
Content Updates
- Green Rhino Toad variant added.
- Updates to Farmers Benches requirements: Tier 4 now requires Drywood Log instead of Redwood Log, and Tier 6 requires Redwood Log instead of Drywood Log.
- Crafting times for early-game items have been adjusted: Crude ammo, weapons, and tools now craft instantly. Builders Bench and Chicken Coop craft times reduced from 3 seconds to 2 seconds.

- World map and chunk updates now use their own streams.
